Welcome back to your regular Psalm Lab weekly.
Last week I shared about how things have been going with both my health and writing. The good news! Is the journey to recovery is steady, granted their are days where I feel the weight of everything. So, I keep taking the small steps that work for me and that’s the most important thing.
On a more exciting note! We had quite a wild time last week with the big nears we recieved from Bungie about the Unvaulting of Destiny content and the future of D1 and potentially D3 (to be revealed at a later date). Check out the Bungie Community Update for more details.
I won’t bore you with reems of points, but the update consists of D2 year one campaigns, strikes, raids and raid layers being unvaulted: Red War, Curse of Osiris, Warmind Expansion, Forsaken. In the blog Josh Dean (Head of Product at Bungie), goes into candid detail about the failiures, technical challenges and future for what Bungie is working toward.
One big take away is the Status bar:
The above dipicts the progress of process thus far. The best part about this is Production has began. The saddest reality however is we won’t see anything until possible 2028! Which in game life-span is quite a long time. He did however go on to share other information about getting new updates into current Destiny and expressed the importance of it.
- Unvaulting content
- Destiny 1 being added into Destiny 2
- Destiny 2 Shattered Cycle content
- Destiny 3
If it takes Bungie 2-3 years. I would happily wait. We’ve all had this conversation and honestly quality over quantity continues to be the landmark games industry titles and studios thrive by. The better the game, the more people will continue to celebrate it.
Reject The Tides of Spellsong
In a more recent blog post I shared plans surrounding the next lore video, which has slowly been taking shape. For any Soulframe fans out there you’ll remember me mentioning my eagerness to work on a series of videos discussing central characters within Soulframes, world of ALCA.
The next video with be all about the Ode or Ode’n a starfarring alien race, that arrives on the shores of ALCA terraforming the environment and stripping it of all natural resources.
This video is reletively short compared some others, but should give players or lore enthusiasts more information about them and why they are hear. The video is already scripted and recorded too! In a turn of unfortunate events, the audio level of my mic was far to high which means I’ll have to re-record it.
My excitement for releasing this video is quite high! One because it is shorter, and two; because my Soulframe lore videos are really starting to pick up steam.
The other reason is because I finally put together a rich logo intro for these set of videos and I am really excited by how they turned out. Unlike Destiny videos, these videos needed a little more green than the out edge of space.
