How Do I Grow A Community?
Get into community! This to me has been a pivotal aspect of growing as a creator. Surround yourself with like-minded people who share similar passions and have differing passions from your own.
I call it “creative pollination.” No man is an island. How do you grow as a creative without challenging yourself or allowing yourself to be challenged by other creators.
In this process, we grow as people. We gain a rich understanding of what we’re capable of. We also learn where the limits of your craft sit.
Cue Threads, this little…ball of yarn has quickly become a rich creative community. It is brimming with robust creative minds. They live their everyday life and share their process.
Can I grow on Threads?
Yes! Like all platforms, this one focuses less on mindless posting. It emphasizes adding value rather than using cheap tricks! But real expression of self and values.
So here are some key tips for getting noticed on the Threads App
- Use Keyword research and find trending topics.
- Once discovered, engage and invest in chatting to others

- Show up and genuinely get to know them and their work.

- Avoid chasing follower counts.

- It’s okay if no one re-shares your thread.
- Re-share or Quote threads of interest!

- Gives current and future followers an idea of the things you enjoy.
How To Figure Out Threads?
Look, there isn’t a secret formula when it comes to navigating socials. In some ways, there is a method to the madness.
What do I mean?
You need to pay close attention to three areas. Which will prove valuable for showing up as your best self.
- Replies – Replying to a good Thread can quite literally be the difference between Success or none. You’ve heard the saying, “no man can be an island”? The same holds true for using Threads App. It isn’t enough to just post and like a few posts. But how are you adding value?
- Be seen!!! – It can be tough to show your face 🙄. To tackle this, practice taking photos of yourself or ask someone for help. Capture the moment when you feel inspired and post it with a simple caption or hashtag. Then, let the Thread’s algorithm do the rest!
- Post video – Threads is the child of Instagram. At the end of the day, video does very well. If! It is cross posted from Instagram, of course. Somewhere within Instagram and Thread’s code takes cross-posted videos and pushes them out to people who find them interesting. Give it a try!
Quick note: Videos you post also get similar attention. This attention depends on your following and followers. It is also influenced by trends and topics linked to your account.
